Thread: Tremoctopus at Molassas reef in FL

    The tremoctopus is so incredible looking! These pictures are fantastic. I hope that I get to see one of these in person someday.

    I did get to observe it either feeding or digging in the sand. In fact I have a photo of it, here. It was digging for something here.

    Sorry about the quality of the first two pics, my flash strobe wasn't warmed up yet and I didn't want to miss anything cool. It did fire on the third pic though.

    Now THAT is spectacular: a pelagic species caught at benthic feeding? Thank you so much for posting these pics! Can't get over the mottled appearance.... Must be T. violaceus fragilis...
