TONMOCON III - Live Streaming Broadcast!

I realize that our global economic climate (or just bad timing) has caused several folks to submit their regrets for attendance to TONMOCON III. Still, a good crowd is brewing, so I want to confirm for you that the event is on!

For those who can't make it, I'm pleased to announce that TONMOCON III will be broadcast live, through video streaming. Here's a link to the Live broadcast page. Live chat will be supported as well. Updates should also be available via Twitter -- @cephs.

Cost = FREE! (By the way, have you considered becoming a TONMO.com Supporter? )

    Caveats:
    - not all portions will be broadcast (presenter preference will be honored)
    - I can't guarantee the technology will work end-to-end. But I will make a thorough attempt!

All that said, I hope to see you there! There's nothing like the real thing -- and we still can't transmit pints of beer over the interwebs, or the briny smell of a marine biologist's lab coat. perhaps at TONMOCON XXVII...

Tony, thank you so much! The fun on Friday and Saturday night won't be there, but at least we'll be able to see most of the presentations (I hope).

Wonderful! I was feeling sad about not being able to experience the excitement of TONMOCON this year, so this is outstanding news.

steve, does that mean you're going to make it after all? If so the attendees will be pleased, and those of us who are stay at home can hopefully see you take WK down....(in your dreams!)

After working out at sea for a year I may have to get in on this arm wrestling extravaganza...

Perhaps you should MEET WK before making such a bold statement ... Steve might allow you to contribute to his attack method though

Now that you mention it, yes, I think this rather slim gentleman gave a talk before my coffee kicked in rasonably.

Greg was among the observers at the epic match in the kitchen. Were you and Neal still there, or had you already gone back to your motel? I'm still not sure if WK just let Steve think he had a chance, or if Steve's wiry strength prolonged the match as long as it did. Still, it was like a match up in power between our Prius and a Mack truck. Greg, if you're going to be in the game, I hope you've been lifting weights!

It has been awhile, we were still pretty new to the forum members and memory is not what it used to be but we did witness half of the epic event (I missed Tony's infamous ... can-can dance though).

I just tested the live stream and audio from my laptop (which is what I'll be using) -- it works really well!
