It seems (memory is not always reality) that Cuttlegirls first and last had lower success ratest than those "in the middle" of the breeding life cycle.

Just found a Secret stash of eggs in the main tank. I pulled out 18 eggs and ALL look good. Looks like in a couple of weeks after these hatch, Thales and I will have more cuttles then we can handle. =)
Dwhatley-I guess I need to go through cuttlegirls posts again. Makes sense though. However, all of the cuttles in the main tank are the same age. One of the females is almost laying 100% viable eggs which look darker and thicker walled then previous eggs. The other female is laying about 1/3% viable eggs that look more fragile.
I was just wondering if anybody had any cuttlefish for sale yet?
Looking to buy a 2 cuttles on frozen anybody have any?
to TONMO... hopefully one of the cuttle-raisers can help you!

Had an incident with my system. My PH probe was reading off by up to .6! I stopped dripping kalk a while back thinking my PH was too high. In reality, my PH was starting to dip under 8.0 which it seems to be bad for Bandensis. Although my adults are about the age for them to start passing on, I feel this PH issue may have been more likely the cause of two female adults dying. Unfortunately, these were the last of my adult breeding females. The last batch of eggs didnt seem to make it as a well. I have one clutch left that look good and I have tended to my PH issue, so Ill see if these pull through.
Because of this, I will unfortunately not have any more Gen 2 Bandensis. However, I have my own personal mini-army of Gen 2 Bandensis at about 1 month old, so as long as there are no further problems, Gen 3 is very possible in a few months..
Paradox,
For my confused mind.Have you successfully raised cuttles that were tank bred from tank raised yet or are we still on tank bred from wc?

Sorry! The confusion is probably my fault. I should have said that I will most likeley not have any more F1 gereration Cuttles available, but am hoping for F2 in 3-5 Months.
In other words, I bred cuttles from wild caught eggs to create a 1st Generation of tank bred cuttles and am currently awaiting these 1st gen tank bred cuttles to mature.
I have not had any confirmations of any recipients of these tank bred cuttles to have successfully reproduced yet, but its still early.
I have several eggs maturing, but I am not sure if I will have any for sale.

Ink is the way; the way is ink.
I'm thinking about raising cuttles. How much a week does it cost to raise them?
