It's amazing, but was the other stuff sold at what it was worth? If the amonite sold for this much, wouldn't the other stuff be worth alot as well, such as the turtle that sold for 27,000, is that what it is worth? did the auction macke it worth less than it actually was.

I guess things are worth the amount some people are willing to pay. Without the amolite the ammonite would probably be worth considerably less.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the fossil naturally the myriad of colors pictured or was the piece painted? If it is natural how does something like that occur?

It is beautiful, but I never considered spending what I could spend on a house for an ammonite.
