my new octo ate friday night.I have put another crab in for him but he shows no interest...how often do they eat?

Depending on the size of his meal it can be a day or two or even 3 especially when they are new before they eat again. He may be resting up after his journey. I would not worry and please do not try to find him as that freaks them out!
