I read with some interest how the diamondback squid actually will pair up and stay paired up untell reproduction takes place. Does anyone have further info on this large interesting squid? I understand that there is a Japanese fishery that targets Thysanoteuthis rhombus and also that it has been found of Jamaica. It also has an egg mass that has a characteristic appearance. I have not been able to find much more than this. Thanks, squidfan.

Given the current high level of traffic, I thought I might as well reply so this thread gets somewhat higher up the visibility ladder  I personally have little to offer in information, sorry...
It always helps to go to the usual info haunts such as tolweb.
