This morning...something made me go dig her out to look to see if she was still alive and the eggs hatched. There are hundreds of tiny babies up by the lights...Hope to have pics shortly!

Animal Mother Dec 2nd, 2006, 10:54am Wooooooo, that's a lot of babies! cuttlegirl Dec 2nd, 2006, 09:51pm Well, now I don't feel so bad with my 103 babies!!! corw314 Dec 4th, 2006, 08:01pm Unfortunately, they are all gone. Planktonic babies are just about impossible to raise in a tank situation. And I'm afraid Squiggles will be gone before the night is over. These were obviously a smaller octopus, full grown, as Octo #2 was also Squiggles species. The good news is I am getting one of Zyans baby bimacs on Friday, and the new baby is going into an awesome tank that all my Bimacs have lived in for almost a year. I'm sad Squiggles is dying, but excited about the baby arriving Friday. |
