The volume is fully indexed and also includes sections on terminology and measurements, an extensive glossary, an introduction with an updated review of the existing biological knowledge on cephalopods (including fisheries information and catch data for recent years) and a dedicated bibliography.

Do we have a sticky where we can put all recommended books? It might be nice to have one spot where people could go when they have a few extra $$$ and want to add to their libraries.

I once read that but I think all volumes were in one book. It was at my local library and when I looked it up it was worth 300 dollars!

WOW, that's quite a find! Just downloaded...

Surely if it's retailing at around £30 then downloading it is illegal? That said, I am currently downloading it as we speak...

I was assuming that because it's published by a government organization, that it's only sold to cover printing costs and whatnot, much like the 9/11 report and such things (although the printers always seem to find a way to skim a bit...) I imagine if the FAO didn't want people downloading it, they wouldn't put it on their web site. The copyright in the PDF is pretty relaxed, mostly saying it can't be resold or used for commercial purposes, but everything else is OK.
