I was wondering does a wave maker have much of an affect on an octopus and how much GPH can an octopus take. I may be upgrading my wave box meaning I would have an extra (one wave 2k-for reef 40,000 GPH) and my RedSea Wave Master Pro would go onto my 55 octopus tank. wich has about.....about 500 GPH) would that be ok for a ceph or more spacific an octopus. The power heads need to be octo proofed but other than than that?

Hmmm. I don't know about that one...most of our captive octos would like a gentle wave pattern. But how are you going to keep him out of the flow trough?

Put some sort of mesh on the powerheads. my RedSea wave master has different current type one being low/gentle flow.
