Hi all, the big day has come & having nurtured them throught the winter months, today was the day for 300 odd green mantids to burst forth out of their egg case into the big wide world of my kitchen window.
I am SO struggling with "M" names so if anyone can help 8-)

Phil, nice bit of lateral thinking going on there !

one got left behind on the egg case (see arrows), called him "Maroon", turned out he had 2 duff legs on one side so he got "Mashed"

the combination of the "M Names" and the passing of Vince Welnick a few days ago made me feel obligated to post this:

http://www.thetubes.com/lyrics/life.htm

rather off topic... so it goes. However, if you want to name any of them after cars, scroll down to the "automotive" section of the list at the end of the song.

That was last summer's project for me! Of course, it was an unplanned project... My daughter says "Mommy, why are the frogs hugging???" and the next day we have 100 eggs - I successfully raised 15 (which is a good ratio for African Dwarf Frogs).

you've not found my English/French/English dictionary perchance Sorseress ?

Cephkid, potentially they should be Hyla arborea, Rana temporaria & Rana esculenta for when I get peckish.

Erich, I seem to be right out of "A Man & a Woman", will "The Longest Day" or "Killing Zoe" have the same effect ?
