Can some one tell me if a flame scallop will affect an octos health or will it just become food one day. The flame scallop is about 2-3 inches wide.

I've looked up fame scallops - they seem to be very difficult to keep. If it should die, that would affect your water quality.

Octos do eat scallops, but I'm not sure about a flame scallop. And you never know for sure whether your particular octo would find it appealing.
