Chronowar if you go night diving and take a torch you might attract some squid. Thats the most common way to find them I think.

take vintage air out of daytona into marsh harbor and then the ferry over to elbow or rent a boat. there are lots of houses to rent on the island and a couple small resorts like the abaco inn. we just keep our boat down there at sea spray marina. if you want to go on some good dives to the sancuaries and such talk to francis at froggies in hopetown tell him joe strickland sent you

I really like your pictures. I hope you don't mind, I loved them so much that I poked around a little with the color and got rid of some of the green cast from the water. Again, I hope you don't mind me messing with your pics. If you do, yell at me a bit.

Wow those cuttlefish pictures are amazing! The water looks quite shallow. Where the cuttlefish timid or curious?

UHHHhh....not cuttlefish. There are no cuttlefish in that area, if my memory is correct. Those are squid. It's easy to mistake them for a cuttlfish.

ohhhhh man. I was *just* thinking about planning a dive trip and I'd been pondering Bahamas for awhile. I think you just completely made up my mind!! Fantastic pictures, looks like you had a total blast.
What island were you on??

wow you just dug this post out of the grave didnt ya?

anyway yeah i go down to elbow key at least 2-3 times a year if not more. these pics were taken at the guana key sanctuary, the north end of elbow key, and the sandy key sanctuary. there are tons of great snorkling places along with dive spots. i only free dive though because the bahamian government doesnt allow you to spearfish if there are O2 tanks on the boat. let me know if you do end up going down that way i can let you know all about the area and where to go etc.
