The emergence of a 1.7 meters long cuttlefish in a Puerto Montt beach, south of Chile caused panic Sunday among vacationers, reports the Chilean press

Apparently an eight year old girl was swimming in the Chinquihue beach when she began screaming for help. Several people went to her rescue and came across the giant cephalopod at waist depth, which they “stoned” to death and later pulled to the beach.

IT'S A SQUID! NOT A CUTTLEFISH! HUMBOLDTS ARE SQUID! DAMIT!

I never knew stones were good meat tenderisers...

But the temperature change is interesting...wonder what will change if global warming changes the ocean currents?

Decrease in ocean salinity, change in the Gulf stream, warmer winters, hotter summers, more catagory 4+ hurricanes making landfall, and extention of the hurricane season, polar ice caps shrink more during the summer, and rebuild less in the winter, it's not good.

This all I can think of at the moment.
