View Full Version : Just recived 10 eggs this morning any help/tips munna121 Feb 22nd, 2006, 07:10pm Hey i just recieved 10 dwarf cuttle eggs 3 are transparent and I can see the baby cuttles swiming around. I have them in a net breeder with macro algea and sand on the bottom. Castor Feb 22nd, 2006, 08:02pm What sp. are they. I'm no cuttle expert, but I would suggestcombing through the cuttle care section. Water quality and stability will be at the top of you list. Good luck! cuttlegirl Feb 22nd, 2006, 09:45pm :welcome: , When they hatch be sure they have enough room (more net breeders...) and enough food or there will be cannibalism... i need cuttle Feb 23rd, 2006, 12:37am ditto, lots and lots of food, (however they may not eat for a few days) but mucho mucho net breeders munna121 Feb 25th, 2006, 12:10pm The eggs still havent hatched, i need cuttle how long did yours take to hatch. Paradox Feb 25th, 2006, 08:34pm As long as they are inflated they should be ok. Give them up to a week... munna121 Feb 25th, 2006, 10:03pm Finnaly the first one hatched, there soo tiny and it changed color from light to dark red as soon as I moved some algae in the net breeder to get a better look. How do I know which of the eggs are empty, they all still look inflated. Colin Mar 3rd, 2006, 04:25am Are you able to post some digital pics here? Thales Mar 4th, 2006, 12:08am I kept between 5 and 7 per net breeder with no cannibalism. I had easy access to pods so I fed them 3 or 4 times a day. If the eggs look like a full balloon they should be viable. If they look like a oblong grape, the prolly aren't. munna121 Mar 4th, 2006, 12:31am Six of the eggs hatched, and of the four eggs that are left only one is inflated. Il try to post some pics of the babies. munna121 Mar 4th, 2006, 12:54am Hey are the pictures of the babies Paradox Mar 4th, 2006, 04:30am I would keep them as seperated as possible, for Ive seen babies from the same source act much differently then other eggs. Like Righty says, Ive kept even 10 in one breeder with no problems.. However, I just watched a batch of 10 babies from the same source as yours all eat each other and they were divided 2 per breeder...I also have read similar experiences from others that bought from the same source.. munna121 Mar 4th, 2006, 12:26pm why are they so cannabalistic? Thales Mar 4th, 2006, 12:28pm They may not be bandensis. munna121 Mar 4th, 2006, 05:06pm What species could they be? Thales Mar 4th, 2006, 06:24pm Just about any! :D |
