On this link, a person kept a Bimac in a 30 gallon half-hexagonal. I know this would need powerful filtration, but would this be okay to use.

Hi Shadow Mantis, Not really. Experience has shown that you need a minimum of 50G for a Bimac. 30 G is just not stable enough for the high waste producing octopus family!

I've heard stories like this from time to time...and yes, you can keep a bimac in a 30, but as Jean pointed out, the system inevitably fails due to under-filtration. Even a 50 requires fairly constant maintenance. It would be an o.k. size for a dwarf, however.
