Ho! Ho! Ho! It's going to be a Merry Christmas!

My wife surprised me with a gift to FRAME two pieces of art sent to me by TONMO.com members in years past. In fact, one is Dr. Steve O'Shea's inking octopus, and another is from long-missing member lithographette (veronica). They are not ready in time for Christmas, however... but I will be picking them up later this week... will be sure to share with you when I get them!

In the meantime, here are two other things I got for Christmas (well OK, I picked them up for myself when I came across them while shopping...) Pic 3 is the back of the "Squidy" box.

I love Calvin and Hobbes! He reminds me of Erich when he was a little kid.

Here's one of the two pieces of art that my wife had framed for me as a Christmas gift. The other will be ready on Saturday. This one is the Steve O'Shea painting. WAY too cool for any of us to handle, don't you think?

And exactly when does Steve find the time to sit down and doodle? Maybe he's been leading us astray with all this "super super busy", "Big news coming out soon", "up to my neck in admin work" business. I think its time some one just said it::yelling: Steve O'Shea is a lazy, lying scientist and wanna-be artist! :yelling: Now don't we all feel a bit better?

Cheers!

PS: Great work, very interesting painting.

This painting was sent by Dr. Steve a couple/few years back... kept it in safe keeping, always lamenting at the cost of picture framing, ever-lingering on my to-do list... my wife dug it up and surprised me by getting it framed, along with another piece preserved with acid-free paper... the latter was donated by a TONMOer from years past with the username of Lithographette... will post a pic of the framed version Saturday when I get it!

Isn't that lamp just the best? I'll see what I can find out. Think I remember one of the women I work with had seen it in a catalogue. My mother gave it to me! She knows my obsession!!!

Now you must take a picture of the squid attacking your cat. If you do not have a cat, you must borrow one.

I was going to get one of those for Erich, but Rebecca didn't think he would wear it.

Rebecca was probably right. I tend to wear really thin 50s-60s-era ties to try to distract the eye to my upper chest and away from my rapidly-expanding middle.

In honour of the big Mola news this year, my mom managed to find these two erasers for my stocking. Amazing! Love that woman.
