I've only seen turtles twice in the wild. Once in the Red Sea a big sea turtle swam toward me. It got about ten feet away and realized I wasn't food and swam off. Whew. I was nervous for a minute. Yesterday I saw a juvenile sea turtle in the bay at Portsmouth, Dominica. It was about 10-12 inches across. The other people on the dock said they had seen a bunch of babies a few days earlier on the beach. Could there be a nesting site in this area?

lucky you, I've seen no turtles from the wild expect for 40 stuffed turtles (with 3-5 leatherbacks) in a shop. They were stuffed with newspapaer, mind you.
