I just converted my 44 gallon acropora reef into a octopus tank. Still debating on what species to get, but im in favor of the blue ring. Anything I should know other then not to get bit :D

How bout a bimaculotis? They are known as the labrador of the ceph world...Very engaging and, if they bite you, it's not fatal!!! Anyway welcome and enjoy the site!!! Carol cthulhu77 Aug 2nd, 2005, 10:55am :welcome: to Tonmo !!! Blue rings are one of those octos that burn people out of ceph keeping...they aren't as pretty as the pics you see (when they are startled, which is the last thing you want in a captive octo), and they die shortly...you would be much, much happier with a bimac or somesuch...just my advice. greg jamie604 Aug 3rd, 2005, 03:05pm Ah icic, "rethinking" the bluering then, anything with color reds/blues or something other then tan and brown? |
