Hello,

This octopus is commonly offered in shops here in Bangkok. Haven't found anything on it other than this link for "ring-eye octopus".
Anyone know what the species is? Requirements?

When working in Thailand years ago, I remember seeing a species similar to this. Crissy tells me that it is in the O. aegina group and may well be O. aegina.

I've found a pic for O. aegina that looks just like it. Common name is the Marbled or Sandbird octopus. Appears to be a shell-dweller.

Still no info about it though, like maximum size, habitat, etc.

Books on these things in English are hard to come by in Thailand, if anyone knows about them or has links to any articles, let me know.
