Thanks Colin May 25th, 2005, 03:56am Hi again you really wont need a CO2 system, they have normally got 2 uses in aquariums... in freshwater planted tanks a co2 system is used to 'feed' the plants and encourage healthy plant growth. in saltwater reef tanks which have heavy growth of stony corals, the CO2 is used to dissolve calcium based products to replace the calcium used up by the corals to encourage healthy growth. You wont need one for an octopus and anyway, they can cost a lot of money... Cheers Colin |
