Squidman May 8th, 2005, 09:18pm That cousin may be thinking of either the blue shark or the mako shark. Hope that helps, Squidman chrono_war01 May 9th, 2005, 08:26am Yeh, I guess it might be the blue shark or the mako, but it might also be a torpedo ray  , but that's something different from a shark. rj10018576 May 9th, 2005, 01:38pm no he was talking about a shark to put in his tank. blue and mako are waaaaayyyyy to big for that. the only link on the net i can find that even talks about is is this http://www.allsands.com/pets/fish/home-aquarium-pet-shark.htm in it they talk about the blue torpedo looking like a small great white and give a rough pricing range. cthulhu77 May 9th, 2005, 01:50pm LOL...what you are discussing are not real sharks at all, but egg laying freshwater fish...all available at your local lfs. http://www.elmersaquarium.com/10shark_redtail.htm rj10018576 May 9th, 2005, 03:12pm i know it isnt a real shark but one of those small tank fishes but i was trying to find it because my cousin was asking about it. dont try to flame me cuz i was doing favor to my friend. Tintenfisch May 9th, 2005, 04:45pm I don't think anyone was trying to flame you... I think Greg was just amused by the confusion that followed your post; you knew that it was an aquarium fish but others may not have. Don't be put off - there are a lot of good resources here! cthulhu77 May 9th, 2005, 07:54pm i know it isnt a real shark but one of those small tank fishes but i was trying to find it because my cousin was asking about it. dont try to flame me cuz i was doing favor to my friend. TF is totally right...I was in no way shape or form flaming!!!! They are neat little fish...good luck with the info ! If he wants to breed them, tell him to use marbles for the bottom of the tank...works wonders! greg chrono_war01 May 10th, 2005, 05:32am marble? cthulhu77 May 10th, 2005, 09:29am no...marbles...the eggs fall down through the gaps between the marbles...:) g chrono_war01 May 10th, 2005, 10:50am ooh... though you meant marble, guess I really lost my marbles this time  |
