Looks like it borrows into the sand with that appendage (tail?) on its mantle (at TONMOCON I over the weekend, Lou Zeidberg showed us some squid species similar to this, and referred to the appendage as "the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree", 'cause that's basically what it looks like).
