View Full Version : Would you come to TONMOcon at Monterey, Aug. 5-7, 2005?
Melissa Mar 21st, 2005, 09:17pm Would you attend TONMOcon in Monterey this summer? August 5-7.
Enough yeses will make this definite! It looks like Tony and Steve and Erich and I can make it.
A round of applause to Erich for finding an enthusiastic venue that hasn't yet gone bankrupt or been subjected to natural disasters!
Melissa
dawnchihuahua Mar 21st, 2005, 09:23pm I wish! That is a little too far across the US for me though
Clem Mar 21st, 2005, 09:26pm I can give a hearty "maybe." Great venue, and I'd love to attend.
Nice work, Melissa (and Erich).

Erich gets all the credit for this!
Clem Mar 21st, 2005, 09:32pm Nice work, Erich.
cthulhu77 Mar 21st, 2005, 09:32pm Piece of cake for me...perhaps some of the east coasters could caravan or road trip? Looking forward to seeing allyaall !

erich orser Mar 21st, 2005, 09:41pm Thanks Clem!
corw314 Mar 21st, 2005, 10:48pm I just priced out tickets.....What airport is closest? I priced out Los Angelas. Talking with one stop.. 198 roundtrip, or 329 nonstop....times 2 cause of Jess...I would love to come but not sure if I could.
Carol
Steve O'Shea Mar 21st, 2005, 10:50pm Gonna be a blast; when this is concrete I'll book the tickets.
erich orser Mar 21st, 2005, 11:30pm Some advice regarding airports:
If you're not coming in via international flight, for the love of Mike, by all means avoid Los Angeles International Airport! LAX sux! Try flying into Burbank instead if you're headed for S. California and driving up the coast. Burbank is a little airport that can. LAX is an unfriendly disaster. Frankly, the two closer airports are San Francisco International (SFO) or San Jose. These both offer shuttle service directly to downtown Monterey.
Also, for Tonmo parents, the night of August 5th, Friday, the aquarium is offering a kids' campover inside the facility in front of the tanks, with fun-time/educational activities for the children. Obviously a few parents would probably want to chaperone. For the kids, this could be the high-point of the convention!
If you must fly into the Los Angeles area, then maybe take an extra day and drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to Monterey. The Big Sur coastline is one of the most scenic drives in America. Of course, a couple of my wife's friends from New Zealand did this and weren't as impressed. Evidently such vistas are more common down there. Oh well.
Erich
PurpleTentacle Mar 22nd, 2005, 10:29am I can probably make that. I was planning a trip up that way in May when the Octopus exhibit at the aquarium is scheduled to reopen, but I could probably postpone that until August.
Is Big Sur still infested with hippies or did they become endangered/extinct? I'm thinking of camping somewhere around there, but I don't want the second-hand smoke, if ya know what I mean.
marinebio_guy Mar 22nd, 2005, 01:37pm I would like to but it depends on money and time. I'm going to try and save up for the Ceph. conf. in Tasmania this winter, or there summer.
WhiteKiboko Mar 22nd, 2005, 04:09pm While i stick by my maybe, its far out warning that id say a positive maybe...
Jean Mar 22nd, 2005, 07:08pm Sigh........I wish I could but tis too far away and too expensive
J
cthulhu77 Mar 22nd, 2005, 08:24pm Erich and Melissa...you have done wonders ! Is there a chance that we could arrange to stay at one hotel, and thereby perhaps get some sort of a "group" discount or something??? We just need to make sure there is a smoking bar on the floor level, so WK and I have some place to stagger to and from...
greg
tonmo Mar 22nd, 2005, 08:38pm Ya mo be there 8-)
erich orser Mar 22nd, 2005, 09:29pm Greg,
Two hotels actually connect to the conference center where the lectures will be held, and I'm certain they have bars. The conference center, if you want a scenic jaunt, is a gorgeous fifteen-minute walk along the shoreline from the aquarium. Oh, and don't worry. Monterey has lots of restaurants and bars. Carmel is just a short hop away by car, and it also has some great places to eat, drink, and be merry.
Erich
Gaetan P. Mar 22nd, 2005, 10:21pm That sounds tempting, but with a teacher salary in the summer....I'll be in chicken class....
great Idea....maybe next year at the baltimore aquarium...
Gaetan
cthulhu77 Mar 22nd, 2005, 10:22pm LOL...two bars ! Heck! I do love Cannery Row...the whole area is great ! What are the two hotels that we are going to be inbetween, and is there a chance of getting a block of rooms if we get enough commitments? I know, stuff to do in your spare time...
Hats off to the two of you again !
greg
dawnchihuahua Mar 22nd, 2005, 11:54pm Hey Gaetan if you arrange the Baltimore one I will come for sure:octopus:
Joy Williams Mar 23rd, 2005, 12:52am Better idea, come to San Jose. Maybe Tom and I will have a wine tasting party during this time.
Joy
Joy Williams Mar 23rd, 2005, 12:53am San Josae is the closest airport to Monterey, btw, that's why I mentioned it....
cthulhu77 Mar 23rd, 2005, 12:56am All I had to do was mention it to Shanlyn...the last time we were out in SJ/SF, she couldn't go shopping, sooooo...we are definitely in !
Wine tasting? Cool !
greg
erich orser Mar 23rd, 2005, 01:00am Boy howdy, do I have a bunch of coordinating phone calls to make tomorrow...
Joy Williams Mar 23rd, 2005, 01:03am Hi ya'll,
We can arrange a party here around that date in Santa Cruz.... about 30 miles up the coast. Santa Cruz is a beautiful area, and we live on acreage with redwoods, and then some of you can meet our alpacas. :)
We will be at the event. So email me if you want to get together at some time over the weekend this occurs and then I'll figure out the date, and make a map, etc. It's not that far, and we will have a good time.
This sounds like fun!
Joy
Joy Williams Mar 23rd, 2005, 01:15am oh duh...
my email is joy.hummingbird@gmail.com
Thanks :)
erich orser Mar 23rd, 2005, 01:43am Wine tasting, eh, sis? Hmmm... this all sort of depends upon what ends up getting planned with the convention authorities and the aquarium, schedule-wise, but could be fun if it can be budgeted for time...
Erich
Tom Williams Mar 23rd, 2005, 01:46am The closest practical airport is San Jose International. You can get direct or connecting flights from all over most of the country. There are then commuter connections to Monterey, I'm almost certain.
By car, Monterey is about 80 miles from San Jose.
Commuter connections from LAX will probably work as well.
Tom Williams Mar 23rd, 2005, 01:50am For any who are inclined and haven't tried it, there is great scuba diving off the Coast Guard pier right near downtown Monterey. It's where a lot of classes are held so it's easy for less experienced divers and can give a great introduction to the kelp forest environement for those who have never seen it up close and wonderful.
cthulhu77 Mar 23rd, 2005, 08:28am Boy howdy, do I have a bunch of coordinating phone calls to make tomorrow...
Kind of takes on a life of it's own, doesn't it??? Just think of the rewards of basking in all of the praise when all is said and done, though!!!
I wouldn't sweat all the little parties added on...they should finalize themselves prior to the event, which will mostly Tonmo stuff !! It will be a blast to get together with everyone ! Someone needs to bring a digital video cam so we can post some bits on Tonmo...
greg
Colin Mar 23rd, 2005, 08:37am BAH, sorry, not me... Money and time just isnt with us this year... :(
erich orser Mar 23rd, 2005, 08:40am Greg,
Truthfully, once I'm in Monterey and Tonmocon is GO, I really don't think I'll want to leave town for anything else, unless I take the short trip over to Carmel for lunch or dinner or something. There's a lot to see even without all the cephalopod discourse going-on; won't want to miss a thing!
Erich
cthulhu77 Mar 23rd, 2005, 09:14am I agree with you completely...we all have a ton of talk to squeeze into just a few days...I plan on being sleep deprived the entire time!!
Good luck on the phone!
greg
Melissa Mar 23rd, 2005, 11:47am Group rates at hotels are already on my to-do list.
Wine tasting sounds lovely, Joy. I think Erich is right - those with limited time will not want to leave Monterey. We'll see how the scheduling goes. I'm sure that those with more time will be very interested in visiting the alpacas.
Melissa
Nancy Mar 23rd, 2005, 06:49pm What are the future plans for TONMOCON?
With the international group we've assembled here, it seems that TONMOCON should be held in different location each time, so that more people have a chance to attend.
Nancy
erich orser Mar 23rd, 2005, 07:57pm Nancy,
I second that! Frankly, a Euro-Tonmocon for the future sounds great, as would an Australasian-Tonmocon! Not forgetting the East Coast as well...
Erich
corw314 Mar 23rd, 2005, 08:10pm So.... Do we have a deffinate yet???? Just curious!!!
Squidman Mar 23rd, 2005, 09:29pm I'm hearing about wine tasting, etc... I am fourteen, but this is a great idea. Sadly, my better judgement takes over, and I would view myself as nothing but a tag-along to hinder all the adults.
On the other hand, talking on a professional level with ceph experts sounds really cool; I'll be thinking about it the next couple of months.
-Squidman-
erich orser Mar 23rd, 2005, 09:31pm Carol,
Glad to see you on the "Yes" list in the poll! I'm still waiting for confirmation from the aquarium, but the Monterey Conference Center has been holding a space for us for the last two weeks, and now knows that we're very serious. The aquarium also knows that we're definitely planning on coming. There are some other factors that still need to be ironed-out, such as hotel group rates, but most of these should be concrete with our Monterey liaisons by the beginning of next week. Also, it should be noted that Monterey is a smallish city - more a town, really - so most of the attractions are fairly close together, and prices for lodgings run the gamut from family-friendly up to corporate expense-account-friendly.
Erich

Squidman, hope you can make it. Each of us as individuals are tag-alongs, together we make a team of ceph-heads.
cthulhu77 Mar 23rd, 2005, 11:42pm Agreed, and for all of our talk, we are mostly just that...we shall spend most of our time talking...so you , Sir Squidman, are more than welcome to join in !!!
This is going to rock !
greg
erich orser Mar 23rd, 2005, 11:46pm Squidman,
Definitely try to make it down! Tony and Greg summed-it up perfectly; you'd be a welcome addition!
cthulhu77 Mar 24th, 2005, 12:08am Just bring a set of ear-plugs for when we get on our rants...LOL
pipsquek Mar 24th, 2005, 03:17am Man, this would be a dream come true. I can't wait to get my tentacles wrapped around all that information in such short time period. A couple of people have asked me to build a squid for them after seeing Big Red, and this would make it ten times easier. Plus the fact that the new Ceph exhibit is opening up in May. Can't wait.
Steve O'Shea Mar 24th, 2005, 05:04am I really am looking forward to this - particularly a :wine: and handshake with many, and a :yelling: at Greg!
I'm thinking of placing an Architeuthis tentacle club on ebay to raise funds to get Kat over too. Who thinks that this is a good idea (seriously; I mean ... I've never done anything like this, and feel bad about it ... selling something to benefit science/a community). If I did do this it wouldn't be transparent at all - you would know who did it, and I would identify myself as selling it 'for science/research advancement' purposes. It's a tough one. Your counsel appreciated.
Where's that Regal-footed Right-Honourable Sir Dr Ummmm..... stand in all of this? Surely if we can make it over from NZ then this chappy can make it from Canada!
erich orser Mar 24th, 2005, 06:08am Steve,
Personally I believe in using whatever resources are available if the cause is just, but this will ultimately be your call. I'd like  to be able to attend the event. Maybe we can finally find out what happened to your ND article!
:cthulhu:
cthulhu77 Mar 24th, 2005, 09:14am I don't see any problem with auctioning off something to benefit Kat...and seriously, do you really think Um is going to miss this????
Bring your Neil gloves Dr.SOS !!!!
greg
Melissa Mar 24th, 2005, 10:16am Squidman, yes, of course you'd be welcome and you wouldn't hinder the adults. If you go to the kids sleepover at the aquarium, we'll spend the whole next day pestering you for details...
Steve, your question is a doozy. Universities and research institutes buy specimens, so they must need suppliers. Would it be better to be entirely transparent and say that this is to benefit students who are presenting their work? Kat, I do hope you'll come tell us all about your own work.
Nancy's right to think about future locations, but for now, I'm not thinking any further than August 8!
Melissa
um... Mar 24th, 2005, 06:31pm Why not auction off a lock of her hair? I'm sure some nutter out there would offer a reasonable sum for that. Or maybe some fingernail clippings?
Steve O'Shea Mar 24th, 2005, 06:31pm What about a toe?
um... Mar 24th, 2005, 06:39pm Sure, as long as it's not one of hers. :yuck:
GPO87 Mar 24th, 2005, 11:19pm Well, I'm gonna have to agree with squidman on this one... as fun as bar hopping and wine tasing sounds, a 17 year old will usually only go for the conferences. I'm totally wanting to go... and my parents have even said that Monteray might not be a bad vacation spot. Vancouver --> Monteray isn't THAT bad a road trip... except maybe with your folks
Anyway, as I am unexperienced with conferences I must ask... will there be a large entrance cost? Anyway I hope theres a definite answer to TONMOcons existence soon!
cthulhu77 Mar 24th, 2005, 11:22pm I make a lot of noise about bar hopping, but trust me, I will be spending every waking moment yapping about octos with allyall...drinks I can have anytime !
The cost will be very minimal...don't sweat that at all !! This is going to be one of the highlights of the year, for sure!
greg
GPO87 Mar 25th, 2005, 12:48am YAY... LOW COST! THANK THE LORD! I DON'T HAVE TO SELL MY CAR!

What's to fret about??? Capitalism isn't all bad, just the people who use it to take advantage of others, which those kind of people are going to do anyway. Money is just a tool, and any tool can be used to do harm in a fashion that is was not created for. Sell it.
joel_ang Mar 25th, 2005, 03:55am Sorry I won't be able to attend, I got a performance on Aug 9th for our "national day" and theres no way my parents are gonna let me go alone. Hopefully I'll be at future ones :)

You make me mad. I lived there for 4 and a half years and now TONMOCON is there Monteray. Man, I used to live in Vancouver, Richmond with all my pals. Now I'm stuck in HK. Asia TONMOCON next anyone? WAA!! I WANT MY MONEY so I can get there. I mean, SQUIDMAN's my age, GPO87 is cool. Man, I'm supposed to be in the thick of everything, not in some odd Chinese city.
OctoPussyAZ Mar 25th, 2005, 01:36pm If anyone cares to visit SF, there is a really cool restaurant I remember from a visit in '99: it's a sealife-themed place called Farallon.

Fujisawas Sake Mar 25th, 2005, 01:51pm My wife and I would love to attend. Those dates sound great as well. Its a 9 hour drive from Arcata, but who cares? I can recommend some nice places to stay as well, depending on your price ranges and what amenities you want. Just PM me if you want some info.
Steve? You really would attend?
John
GPO87 Mar 25th, 2005, 10:47pm I mean, SQUIDMAN's my age, GPO87 is cool.
Ok, I agree with chrono, he's such a devoted member of this site, and I think Steve needs to meet the face of his tormentor! There should be a Tonmocon Asia... just for him. (I'm actually agreeing cause I got a compliment from Chrono... I'm cool! )
Seriously though, if this goes well, you amazing people who put this together (and you are amazing) might think of expanding to another location. It's a great idea (i don't know who brought it up first.) Anyway, I guess I should still push for the one here in the states!
Fujisawas Sake Mar 25th, 2005, 10:50pm Consider San Jose or Sacramento airports as well... Sacramento is three hours from Monterey, San Jose is around 1.5 hours.
WOW, this is an actual "con" with lectures and everything huh? I had no idea!
This is going to be bada$$...

San Jose and SFO are serviced my Monterey Salinas Airbus. Check it out. www.montereyairbus.com You can also fly directly into Montery on United.
erich orser Mar 26th, 2005, 04:11am Hi All,
I was just alerted to the fact that tickets to the Friday, August 5th camp-over at the aquarium go on sale starting this Monday. The cost is $50.00 a head, so I'm assuming that's for everybody, kids as well as chaperones. That seems reasonable enough, what with insurance costs, overhead, etc. The bad news: you evidently have to be a member of the aquarium just to purchase said tickets. Once again, shouldn't be bad, right? My wife and I just joined the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum and that was $65.00 for both of us... but NO! Monterey wants $100.00 a person to join, or $175.00 for a deluxe membership that includes two free guest passes which could be used toward the camp-over. This is annoying, to say the least. So say you're coming from the East Coast, are probably not returning to Monterey anytime soon after the convention, and are already paying through the nose for accommodations, airfare, travel once you're on the peninsula, food, souvenirs, the convention (which luckily we're keeping cheap), and the aquarium visit itself... THEN you need to cough-up that kind of scratch in addition?! I don't know about everybody on this site, but I'm not independently wealthy. It just seems like an awful lot of money. Perhaps we could take up some kind of collection for pipsqueak or someone who actually lives up there so they could get a deluxe membership, then farm-out the guest passes to Carol and Jess, or Tony and family... does anybody think this sounds doable? I'd really like everybody to leave with a fun, memorable experience.
I think I'd better start researching other viable family-friendly alternatives in the area. There's awesome sea kayaking right off the aquarium (warning: playful sea otters might try to capsize you - happened to a coworker of mine when he was twelve), there are miles of trails, there's bike rentals, there are terrific sandy beaches as well as rocky seashores for exploring. It's an amazing location that I loved as a small child (before they built the aquarium) and still do.
What does everybody think? Does the camp-over still sound like it's worth it, or do you think we ought to continue looking for other things for families to enjoy while visiting?
Erich
corw314 Mar 26th, 2005, 05:02am Hmmm.....not sure on doing the campover now! I had already been thinking we would need sleeping bags and how to bring them out with us!!! Nice idea on the passes, but sounds like there is so much else to do, I know on our last sleepover at Baltimore, the next day we were both exhausted, and I'm not so sure I want to miss any of the daytime activities!!! Can you snorkle there? Jess just learned how in Flordia!!!
Carol
erich orser Mar 26th, 2005, 05:17am Carol,
Well, I suppose you could snorkel there, but remember, in August there still should be upwelling going on and the water is coming right up from the bottom of the sea. Considering there's a canyon right offshore - well, it's not like the shallow Eastern coastline - this water tends to be cold! Plus there's kelp forests, potentially tricky currents, etc. I know one of the other members-only Aquarium Adventures is a program that teaches children, including young children, to scuba dive every summer right there. I guess it's considered safe enough, but when I was a kid my mother wouldn't let me get too close to the crashing California surf. Of course, after being a paramedic, my mom wouldn't really let me do much of anything that could possibly be dangerous. Probably why later I discovered rock-climbing, skydiving, slam-dancing, and Wagner's Ring Cycle.
I'll investigate other fun options - maybe pipsqueak could help in this (hint, hint) - and post anything else I discover. Regardless, it's just a beautiful place to visit. Point Lobos is magnificent, and it's not too far down the coast from there. I've always preferred beachcombing when the shoreline is rocky and dramatic.
Erich
chrono_war01 Mar 26th, 2005, 12:21pm you guys make me really mad, how come all the COOL poeple are there!!? And I'm not, considering that I'm not THAT cool. If you consider a 14 yr old, chubby at best, Asian boy a total cool person.
Currently being labeled as squid-hugger in school for fondness with cephs and the ambition to find Messie.
But HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Kids learning to scuba dive? Oh please, leave it to the real pros like me to do the job of scuba diving. I mean only pros should scuba dive, 5 of the divemasters who went diving said that I was a Natural. Shame that I like boasting about my scuba skills....

erich orser Mar 26th, 2005, 09:49pm Eric,
Between the frigid Antarctic waters and the rather muscular physique of Messie, I'd have to agree with Melissa on this. We prefer you in one piece! However, if you really must dive for this beastie, DO take pictures but be sure to bring along a toothed-whale bodyguard!
Erich
pipsquek Mar 28th, 2005, 02:13am OK, here's the deal. I have a few friends at the aquarium, so I'll see what I can do about the sleepover. No promises, as they are a pretty tightly controlled bunch.
Barring the aquiarium itself, MBARI (Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute) is right up the road. That might be worthin checking into as well, as I meet a postdoc (because of Big Red) who offered to let me help out with the dissection of a Humboldt. I don't know about a sleepover, but maybe a tour.
There is no shortage of things to do. As for the snokeling, the bay is pretty well protected, and fog is the only inclement weather to worry about at that time of year. The water is cold, maybe 52F, but with enough people I might be able to work out a deal with one of the dive shops for a group rate on rental.
Is anyone working on hotel rates? Any info about anything planned or being planned would be good, the more I have to go to my contacts with the better.

This is all great! Erich and I are speaking to the convention center about group rates on hotels. Let's coordinate on our MBARI contacts, too.

cthulhu77 Mar 28th, 2005, 08:49am Regarding snorkeling, I have a couple full kits (3mm wetsuits, etc) that I will bring out if we drive (not sure yet...drive or fly) that anyone can borrow...Me? snorkel in the red triangle?? yeah, right.

tonmo Apr 2nd, 2005, 06:37am I just sent an email to our 2,758 members on this, let's see who else is in...

Carol and Jess
erich orser Apr 2nd, 2005, 08:19am Carol,
For most of our Monterey adventures we'll be conveniently within the town, but if you want to show Jess famous Seventeen-Mile-Drive (beautiful homes on rocky bluffs with crashing surf, sea otters, Pebble Beach, lovely little coves) or take a trip farther down to Big Sur to see some California Redwoods, you might want to rent a car. It's really amazing. Carmel is very pretty, too, with little storybook cottages and a great beach.
Chrono! Hey, hope you can make it over! This region is pretty much ceph-central in California! We're going to be collaborating with MAOS, the oceanography academy at Monterey High School, and some of the students ought to be sharing their research with us as well!
Erich
chrono_war01 Apr 2nd, 2005, 08:29am you gys SURE there's gonna be space for a 14 yr old?
Gaetan P. Apr 2nd, 2005, 08:36am A great Idea, but NO can do....just too far a expensive for a teacher who just got married and bought a condo. The next one should be on the east coast. Either New Jersey State Aquarium or baltimore Aquarium. I would be willing to help with planning if it is at the New Jersey State Aquarium. I live about 25 minutes away.
peace,
gAetan
ps. Who is designing the t-shirts for the convention?
Swarvegorilla Apr 2nd, 2005, 09:15am Yep too hard basket for me at moment.
But hope it goes well and can only hope theres a repeat.
TaningiaDanae Apr 2nd, 2005, 09:33am Oh Lordy Lordy Lordy....
My :tentacle: s are broken. Too far, much too much $$$ for air fare, and my XY-types just aren't enough into it for me to get a cross-country ride. Besides, Uncle Sam is hitting us up for nine grand this year and I even had to give up the two anime cons I was going to attend (AnimeNext and Otakon) this summer 'cause of the money drain.
I will miss you guys so much!!!!! Pleeeeeze try to make TONMOcon 2006 on the East Coast, onegaishimasu!
Back in da loop but temporarily outta da running,
Tani
cthulhu77 Apr 2nd, 2005, 10:04am We have discussed some ways to include everyone...there may be a way for you to "attend" the gathering via video link or pc/mac for at least a bit...don't want anyone left out!!!
chrono_war01 Apr 2nd, 2005, 10:10am good! Maybe a website that can only be accessed by TONMO members.
I know! We'll call it TONMOconCAM!
Thales Apr 2nd, 2005, 11:23am I'll be there with my drysuit on!
rachel Apr 2nd, 2005, 12:04pm We knew we moved to California at a good time in our lives! TONMOcon, we're on our way! My husband and I would love to attend.
ArchyNorth Apr 2nd, 2005, 12:46pm I would love to come visit and meet the people behind the screen, but the summer is the busiest time of year for Archaeological digging.
We have such a short window up here as the permafrost only stays down deep for about 3 months.
So, I'll sit up here in the dirt and send my thoughts.
Thales Apr 2nd, 2005, 12:50pm BTW,
I am about 1.5 hours north of Monterey (near Oakland), so if the Metesepia is still alive (or the bandensis are interesting) everyone is welcome is welcome to stop by and see it before or after the con!
deebz Apr 2nd, 2005, 01:02pm I would definitely go, but I have a lot of things to do. Besides, as of now, I don't have the moneterial resources to get to Monterey Bay, CA. I have a lot of college work to finish up, and I'm doing experimentation religiously, in order to find a substance that would be able to strengthen the immune system to the extent in which it would be able to fight off diseases such as AIDS and Malaria. I really wish that I'd be able to go, yes that I do, but I can't. Be sure to post pictures. ^_^
Peace,
-Deebz-
Rona Apr 2nd, 2005, 01:37pm Even if I have to WALK I'll be there! I can carpool w/ other SoCals intersted in going... Any takers?
cbarela Apr 2nd, 2005, 01:41pm Unless something disasterous comes up I plan on being there.
I haven't been around TONMO in recent months, swamped with projects of the non-cephlopod kind.
-Chris
cturtle Apr 2nd, 2005, 01:49pm We'll be there.
Cturtle and Dragon
sorseress Apr 2nd, 2005, 01:53pm I really wish I could make it, but we will be in the process of moving. For those close to Baltimore, Southwest airlines has some pretty cheap flights from BWI to San Jose if you book early enough.
