Hey there gang,
I found this site when I was doing searches on the bent arm behavior for more information. Click on the video links (http://www.mnh.si.edu/cephs/vetal01/vetal01.html).
They show a type of squid that I have never seen before, but that isn't surprising. It has incredibly long arms and its fins seem to run the entire length of the mantle. It's a beautiful swimmer.
Any idea on the species? or have these been linked on another post already?
** Oh. I found this as well. It is a black and white video that someone made of a museum display of a "Giant Calmar" (http://www.onickz.com/videos/calmar/high.php). Kinda neat, but eerie when they rest the camera on the squids eye.
cheers,
