Nancy Dec 20th, 2004, 08:32pm So you have an octo now! Congratulations! Does it have a name? Some pics would be nice, too. Nancy dasOctopus Dec 20th, 2004, 09:29pm Congrats!!! Does it bite? frobro1018 Dec 21st, 2004, 09:45am any thing with a mouth can bite he hasnt bit me yet. anyway about an hour after i put him in the water turned kinda yellow should i be worried franco :bugout:  Nancy Dec 21st, 2004, 11:28am What sort of water is this? And what sort of salt did you use? Did you add anything else or do any water treatments? Nancy frobro1018 Dec 21st, 2004, 06:35pm i got the water premixed from a local store. i didnt do anything to the water franco :bugout:  cthulhu77 Dec 21st, 2004, 10:31pm check your skimmer...he may have inked, so be sure and keep an eye on the water parameters!!!! greg frobro1018 Dec 21st, 2004, 10:56pm whats a skimmer do you need it franco :bugout:  cthulhu77 Dec 21st, 2004, 11:06pm Uh, yes. You definitely need a skimmer on an octo tank. It removes quite a lot of impurity and toxin from the water in short order...you should check out the list under "ceph care" up top to see what all you are going to need!!! frobro1018 Dec 21st, 2004, 11:20pm should i get an airlift or current protien skimmer franco :bugout:  cthulhu77 Dec 21st, 2004, 11:24pm If you have an eclipse system, I would recommend the current model...the airlift variety work well in a sump, but not hanging from the back of a tank... frobro1018 Dec 21st, 2004, 11:38pm thabks a ton franco :bugout:  :vampyro: |
