marinebio_guy Nov 22nd, 2004, 11:52pm Howdy,
I've come across this site several times and being an avid cephalopod person thought I would join in. I am a marine biology student at Texas A&M University at Galveston and have been working for the NRCC for three years. But have been interested in cephalopods for many years.

Nancy Nov 23rd, 2004, 11:06pm Hi and welcome to TONMO.com!
You have some company - there are a couple of other marine biology students from Galveston who occasionally stop by!
What's your special interest?
Glad to have you with us,
Nancy (a fellow Texan)

Well cephalopods of course, but I like everything except i'm not that much of a mammal person.
fluffysquid Nov 24th, 2004, 11:39am Hi there. I'm glad another TAMUG student is here now. I worked at the NRCC last year.
Welcome!
marinebio_guy Nov 24th, 2004, 04:58pm Hi there. I'm glad another TAMUG student is here now. I worked at the NRCC last year.
Welcome!
Hi, I say you met TAMUG people in the weirdest of places. :)
Steve O'Shea Nov 24th, 2004, 07:39pm You probably know each other even .... that's the problem with handles like 'fluffysquid' (aka FS) and 'marinebio_guy' (aka MBG) - we're no wiser when it comes to knowing who we are dealing with (although I think fluffysquid likes climbing walls).
I have a hard-enough time remembering my password; if I had to remember another handle (pseudonym) I'd be confused. Could be worse I s'pose; the poor regal-footed right-honourable Sir Dr Ummmm....... has to remember how many m's and periods he has in his handle everytime he logs on. Probably why we don't hear from him that often after a drink!
:welcome: there Marinebio_guy!
O
marinebio_guy Nov 24th, 2004, 08:19pm Yes, actually I do know who fluffysquid is, because I have been working for the NRCC for three years. I was just joking :)
fluffysquid Nov 24th, 2004, 09:05pm yep... 'tis I.... so who are you?
marinebio_guy Nov 24th, 2004, 09:28pm yep... 'tis I.... so who are you?
I don't know if I should tell you. I like the whole mysterious thing. But I can tell you you did work with me. :?:
Nancy Nov 24th, 2004, 11:10pm Well, I was visiting the NRCC last year and I looked around for Fluffy Squid but hadn't the faintest idea what she looked like or what her real name was. So I picked a likely looking female student and asked "Are you Fluffy Squid"? You should have seen the look I got - this person must have thought I was crazy! :D

Well I would think so  , over half our staff is usually female. However that's funny.
Steve O'Shea Nov 24th, 2004, 11:47pm .... :roflmao: A guy could get slapped with that line!! So, Nancy, did you finally meet FS?
Nancy Nov 24th, 2004, 11:57pm No, I missed her. We've corresponded, but I haven't met her yet. Maybe next time.
Nancy
fluffysquid Nov 25th, 2004, 02:26am Nancy - Hahaha! Actually I did see you... i think. But i didnt know who you were at the time... it was only afterwards that i found out that was you lookin at all the critters.
Marine Bio Guy - yep, i know who you are. hows the marine bio treatin' ya these days? When do you graduate out of curiosity?
Steve- so what's this about climbing walls? i thought i only bounced off them occasionally
marinebio_guy Nov 25th, 2004, 09:37am Thing's are going good, I have a 1 or 1 1/2 years left. It's felt like I've been here forever :bugout: . With any luck things will be going a whole lot better soon. So how are you doing?
