Hey just joined and am thinking about ordering a octo from octopets. I am would be putting it in a 55g, the tank runs about 72-74deg. It has a canister filter and the light is a standard floresent tube, the top is fits very tight.

Also would a octopus get hurt by a few rock crabs, the biggest is about 2in.

your octopus probably won't be harmed by the crabs BUT as the octi gets bigger your crabs will be history!!

Thanks? the crabs are replaceable so thats not a problem. Do you think the tank will hold him?

The tank is big enough, but you need a protein skimmer for an octopus.
