View Full Version : TONMOCON IV: First recipient of the Mark Montague Award
We've selected our winner for the first Monty Award! It will be announced at the end of TONMOCON IV (http://www.tonmo.com/blog/entry.php?91-TONMOCON-IV-AGENDA). :heee:
:monty:
As part or the award this year, TONMO adopted a coral, supporting The Coral Restoration Foundation in Terri's name (http://www.coralrestoration.org/adoptions.php?coral_id=461&adopt_id=348). The link gives access to the on-line journal and "D" will post updates when there are new photo entries to share.

^I think the reason those two liked your post is because they think they've won!

LOL, staff were not eligible, in fact we the winner was voted on in a very equal and democratic method.
More to come, but congratulations to TERRI for being the first winner of our Monty Awards!
:notworth: Thank you Tony and Staff! :notworth: :monty:

Congratulations Terri! I so wish I could have been there!
Thanks Carol! Me too, it looks like everyone had a great time!
I can't tell you all how excited I am to recieve this award, I couldn't have been more surprised when I got Tonys message! :bugout:
Terri - I did get your email but I wasn't able to bake it into my presentation in time - so I just let everyone know how thrilled you were to win it! But we did reflect on how much you've contributed to fossils (and beyond), and the way that you go about it - very healthy for our community and we really appreciate it!

 Keep the cards and letters coming!
I did do a really, really quick run through of the ocean fossils while I was in Washington but could not spend the time I wanted. They have a viewing area for the preparation room and I would have liked to spend the day there just to watch.

That would be an interesting day!

The coral adopted for Terri as part of the TONMOCON IV Monty award has a new update (http://www.coralrestoration.org/adoptions.php?coral_id=461&adopt_id=348). You can see the coral's progress by clicking the link.
Thanks for posting this D so every one can follow the progress! Yay, healthy status! 8-)
