I was also wondering if any research is being done on how squid physiology might react across oceanic haloclines, thermoclines, and pycnoclines. The halocline I would imagine would deal with the osmoregulation, while the thermocline studies would relate to either Q10 values (if that can be measured safely with marine inverts) or migrations (given that warm water currents can bring Dosidicus this far north, and the pycnocline studies would definitely be under how pressure could affect body size, shape, and overall development.

Wow, full of questions am I... And speaking like Yoda I am. Hmmm...

"I sense much beer in you
Beer leads to intoxication
Intoxication leads to hangover
Hangover... leads to suffering."
