How long would squid ink take to dry, on a boat deck? Is it possible it could remain tacky for a couple of days, if the weather was damp and foggy?

Thanks

How much squid ink? It can be thick, depending on how much squid ink was deposited, so yes I think it would be possible for it to still be sticky after several days.

Are you trying to leave the squid ink on the deck or remove it?

Actually, it's info for a story I'm writing.

Thanks a lot!

One more question: what would squid ink look like, sprayed onto a boat deck? That is, after hauling a Humboldt aboard.

Big globs? Spatter? Pool?

Thanks

Check this link for a first hand description... http://www.mexfish.com/sflp/sflp/earlycharters/earlycharters.htm

I would say it would be mixed with water, so splattered all over your body and clothes and deck.
