What if I found one in my live rock :goofysca: can i keep it with my octo or should i remove it

If you could I would get it out. It would either be a real problem, which IMO they are, however, if you get a larger octo it may be dinner. I am biased though 8)

Remove it!

One of the LFSs here dips the live rock in fresh water for a few moments, and claims that drives the mantis shrimp out into the open.

Do you collect your own live rock? What other species of octopus are out here? I've only heard of the day and night ones. My tank won't be ready for much for about 2 more weeks, then I plan on going out tidepooling to get some stuff.

There are the short armed sand octopus(rare) Long armed sand octopus(Rare) The Hawaiian Octopus (Fairly Common) Hawaiian Bobtail Squid(Rare) (and if you find one you might want to send one to BOE :roflmao: )
