Please tell me it's big enough for a bimac. Also.. I presume a protein skimmer is a must, even if I have a BioWheel(R)?

Hi pinkboi

and welcome to TONMO.com :welcome:

In answer to your questions, many of the bimacs get too large for a 30 gallon tank. We are now recommending 50 gallons.

And you do need a skimmer.

Please click on the Ceph Care button and have a look at the articles - there is a lot of good information for people starting up tanks. You might look at the Equipment List and also the Checklist for a start.

You might be able to keep a bimac in a 29 gallon but if it grows larger than usual, you'll have a problem.

Also in a 29 gallon, the bimac won't have enough swimming space.
