Have done a few tricks i have learned over the years, and darn if my 3 1/2 week old tank is not ready. Placed Stalin, my larger red emporer snapper, in there saturday night and so far he loves it.

He is eating all the damsels used to help cycle as instructed. What a good fish. Will still be waiting a little while to make sure no spikes. But I feel this large fish will be a great monitor and bioload enhancer before my octo is ordered.

Definitely Colin! Jim and I are working out the details, but to let you know, if you have not heard already, the only reason the ship together is to save on water weight.

I told Jim I would pay extra for them to be seperated. But good advice if someone is not aware that they could get shipped together.

a thought though, could the clams not be shipped damp? Shellfish are normally able to close the shell and hold onto water for days at a time without actually being in water? This is all species dependant I suppose, but just thinking of the way in which oysters and clams and mussells and cockles and stuff is shipped???????

I'm getting another cuttle and hoping its the opposite sex of the one I already have. I'm really looking for ward to babies. :heee:

I do have my red emperor snapper - Stalin- in there with a few hermits. Stalin is going back into my 72 FO tank. Used him for damsel removal! 8)

Hello Neptune! If you don't know who I am, my name's John and my last bimac was named Roxy. Roxy was considered one of the siblings of Ink and Ollie and a few others. Well, Jim shipped out my new bimac yesterday too. So, I'm also awaiting the arrival today. Looks like new siblings, it's very likely that our octos will be from the same batch...cool. John

Congrats on your new arrival, do you know of what age Jim is sending. I asked for a smaller one about 2' roughlt 21/2 months. Did he mention to you, or you request any particluar batch? It would be extremely neat to have siblings here for our octos! :D

I just asked for a small one that was very lively and healthy. Once it arrives, I'll email him and find out when it was born and if both octos came from the same batch. I don't know how many batches he's got going at the same time but I would think it's possible that he would pull two from the same batch if they got shipped out at the same time.

Joel I ordered mine yesterday at about 7am(4am Cali time) before I went to work. Jim sent me an email yesterday afternoon saying it was on it's way. Congrat's neptune, I'm glad it showed up in great condition. John

It showed up at 11:00am eastern. Great condition and very active, it's doing wonderful. I'm making an official arrival post with all the details. Joel-it was either ordering at 7am before work or that afternoon and I didn't want to risk it not shipping that day. But yes I was very anxious. :)
