At the beginning of Homer the Great they go to an aquarium and an octo is seen in a small bag in storage. Later I remember seeing a squid. :)

i quasi-rewatched Homer the Great (Stonecutter episode) but didnt see an aquarium or cephs... but i didnt watch too closely...

what you described sounds like the beginning of "break my wife, please" when they go to aquarium, an octo is in a bag, the animals jump bart (including an octo), and a squid is on a poster in the doctors office....

on the commentary for 'lesser of two evils' on the season two dvd (sorry, havent got s3 yet) David Cohen refers to a character a 'gangsta rapping squid lady' when the she (also appears as a nurse to zoidberg in 'War is the H Word') is clearly some sort of jellyfish, much to Clem's delight :)

this is odd since in the commentary for 'deep south,' he points out a leafy sea dragon, a coelacanth and mentions that one of his parents is/was a marine biologist.....

They don't, but they can reflect it either on the white muscle underlying the chromatophores or in their iridophores such as those in the Bimacs eye spot or in the BR. We had one once that totally matched the blue background in his tank!

ummmmmm no not really. Our Pinnoctopus cordiformis when in a state I would judge as "relaxed" is often a lavender grey colour. BUT I would rule out strong lavenders and purple...............although I guess they could reflect those colours on the white muscles :bonk:....................iridophores tho' only do blue and green I read somewhere.
