Hi all!

I'm doing an anatomical comparison between octopus and squid. I'm comparing the functionality of tentacles, suckers, beak and radula for both in regards to how they help in the hunting/eating process.

Does anyone know of any good (online) papers which I could reference in my proposal?

Thanks!

Hmm, the ones that spring to mind first are:

Nixon, M.; Dilly, P.N. 1977. Sucker surfaces and prey capture. In: Nixon, M.; Messenger, J.B. (eds). The Biology of Cephalopods. Symposium of the Zoological Society of London 38: 447–511.

and a lot of work by W.M. Kier - see publications list here (http://www.bio.unc.edu/faculty/kier/lab/publications.html). Not sure how many of those you'll find online though, sorry...
