I've added a chat event to the calendar for Friday/Saturday. Joel and I will definitely be on (at 7 pm EST, which is 8 am in Singapore), please join us! Don't worry if you can't join right at 7.

The event is up for Friday and Saturday of this week. Whether it's Friday or Saturday depends on where you are. The World Clock will help you find out what time it will be where you are.

Nick, we had previously deduced that if your username has an apostrophe in it, then you can't get into the chat room.

Yours doesn't have an apostrophe, but I wonder whether it could possibly have an issue with numbers? Doesn't make sense on the surface... but I'll try an experiment and will report back here.

No deal yet on the location, there are a couple of possibilities open right now, and they're all good. Location is the first item to settle, followed by dates, and I hope tobe able to tell you that much by the end of the month. Wherever we end up, I promise you'll still be able to get the advance travel fares. :wink:

I don't know how to set up an IRC channel on one of the major IRC nets, but maybe that would be a lower-effort solution? Just a thought....

Maybe I could a open MSN server and all you have to do is pull poeple into chat by 'inviting' them during your chat with someone else! But then, some poeple don't have MSN...But MSN sure is cool!
