The Associate Press has evangelized the following:

Squid research helps study of brains (http://www.boston.com/news/education/higher/articles/2003/10/08/squid_research_helps_study_of_brains/)

Scientists turn to squid to solve mysteries of nerves (http://www.billingsgazette.com/index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2003/10/12/build/nation/50-squidnerves.inc)

Brainy squid should be up for Nobel? (http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/science/10/09/squid.brains.ap/)

This is actually quite germane to this recent thread (http://www.tonmo.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1156&highlight=axon) on TONMO.com.

This reminds me, when I was an undergrad I was stupid enough to do a physiology paper and we got to play with squid giant axons (to measure nerve potentials etc).......................if only I knew what was waiting for me down the track :bugout: :bonk:   :D
