Good News, everyone,
dolphins can be replaced by virtual reality (http://www.kesq.com/Global/story.asp?S=8068516).
Wait, that's not good news, it's sort of disgusting. Although if people "riding the dolphin ride" give more money to conservation causes, maybe it's a net positive.

Eons ago we took the kids to Epcot (Disney World, Orlando) and just happened upon a little closet outside one of the "future" theaters. There were no real instructions but no lines so we each went into a "booth" and closed the door. The "sound" experience took maybe 3-5 minutes and is still one of the most remembered "rides" at Epcot (the other was our first 3-D film). We returned one other time some years later but the lines were way too long and we did not get to enjoy our "virtual" hair cut again. The booth was pitch black and you simply sat on a bench but the effect was amazing. Technology has come a long way since then (rough guess is 17-20 years) and I would think this experience would be terrific, at that price, though, I will wait for the home unit.
