View Full Version : Mucktopus's video of Abdopus aculeatus
Neogonodactylus Apr 2nd, 2008, 11:06am Good Morning America put together a piece on Mucktopus's study of mating behavior in A. aculeatus. It was supposed to air this morning. Unfortunately, I had to teach, so I didn't get to see it. Did anyone catch it?
If you want to catch the glare of my bald head commenting on this study, AP did an interview.

This is vertebrate bigotry. But at least they chose one that's using an muscular hydrostat trunk...
Jean Apr 2nd, 2008, 03:34pm Very interesting interview Roy, not something we've seen in ours, back in the dark ages I did a BSc in behavioural psychology, so anything like this always gets me listening. Wish we got these interviews down under!

Neogonodactylus Apr 3rd, 2008, 10:31am The piece that I liked the best was by The Times. The writer obviously read the Marine Biology article and did not just rely on the press release.

dwhatley Apr 3rd, 2008, 10:10pm I am not sure if this link is included above but it was sent to me from the wife of the collector that found Octane. They have enjoyed my comentary on the octopus and are more aware of them since Octane came to live here. It looks like a lot more of the world is waking up to the ocean if the numbers of articles about the study is any indication.
