I'm sure this has been pointed out before but Folkmanis has an octopus puppet in their range - www.folkmanis.com.

I've seen this puppet. Each arm is moveable, if you have eight fingers to move them with. Small hands are good for this. I got a smaller toy, much like Acid, instead.

This is one of the most popular puppets in our puppet box for the kids at the aquarium (after the shark & dolphin I'm sorry to say!) It's great!

considering the lack of 'advertising' (if you could call it that) i think coming in 3rd to jaws and flipper is a rousing success.....

maybe we need to get the kids some :meso: puppets....

I just saw this at Folkmanis:

It's in the Baby Folkmanis Puppets (http://www.folkmanis.com/babyfolk.htm) section.

Hey, that octopus puppet is my very own Bill the Octopus, who lives near my laptop. And yes, a friend of Bill the Octopus is the octopus who makes many journeys and climbs mountains with his owners on another website. (Has a degree from MIT, too :) )

I have yet to find the answer to what happens when you jam your hand up the backside of an ancient and powerful god but I suspect I'll find out soon ;)
