This is a second giant squid stranding in recent weeks, per Dr. O'Shea.

And this, while te Papa is housing a half ton monster of the meso kind... It is telling, that 40 km per hour is roughly the maximum attainable speed of a London doubledecker bus, they may be in a bit of a mix-up altogether :wink:

Where those last two statements came from I don't know, but they certainly were not from me!

Number 3 for the winter season just in; caught by a trawler a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be (based on descriptions) intact, minus one tentacle.
