i'm currently setting up my tank (my parents are getting water) and i was opening the live sand to pour it into the tank. while in there i found a little packet containging some sort of gell. i didn't open it. on it it sais Bio-magnet clarifier. is this stuff important?

I've never heard of such. What brand of live sand are you using?

I googled it. Apparently it must be a sample of their water clarifying product.

I'd throw it out...I don't like water clarifiers, or water "cleaners". Many of them are crapola.
